Spool Performance ATC-13 Stage 2 Transfer Case DIY Kit is a reinforced internal upgrade for BMW xDrive vehicles equipped with the ATC-13 / ATC13-1 transfer case.

  • 4340 billet-steel hub with case-hardening and nitriding
  • Optimized spline engagement for improved load distribution
  • Reworked oiling pathways for improved lubrication and heat control
  • Increased clutch capacity with 11 frictions versus 9 OEM
  • Upgraded steels and Spool FX-TRT high-friction material

Fitment: BMW xDrive applications using the ATC-13 / ATC13-1 transfer case. Confirm VIN and transfer-case code before ordering.

Dispatch: Special order — allow 2–3 weeks.

Supplier specification & ordering notes

  • Confirm the installed transfer case is ATC-13 / ATC13-1. An xDrive badge or model year alone is not sufficient identification.
  • The replacement hub uses 4340 billet steel with case hardening and nitriding.
  • Revised spline engagement and oil passages are designed to improve load distribution, lubrication and cooling.
  • Clutch capacity increases from nine factory friction discs to eleven, with upgraded steels and Spool FX-TRT friction material.
  • This is a rebuild-parts kit requiring a qualified transmission specialist.
