Shipping and Delivery Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This Shipping and Delivery Policy applies to purchases made from Boost and Tune Solutions Pty Ltd trading as M Lab by Boost & Tune (“Boost & Tune”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
We understand that customers want their performance parts as quickly as possible. We will always endeavour to process, source and dispatch orders promptly. However, many products are imported, specially ordered or manufactured to order, and some delivery circumstances are outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Order Processing
Orders are processed during our normal business hours, excluding Victorian public holidays and periods when our business is closed.
Before dispatching an order, we may need to:
-
Confirm payment
-
Confirm vehicle compatibility
-
Verify the customer’s VIN or vehicle details
-
Obtain stock from a supplier
-
Confirm a product configuration
-
Complete quality-control checks
-
Arrange suitable freight for bulky or high-value goods
Orders containing custom, imported, special-order or made-to-order products will not be ready for immediate dispatch unless expressly stated otherwise.
2. In-Stock Products
Products shown as in stock will generally be dispatched as soon as reasonably practicable after payment and order verification.
An “in stock” indication may refer to stock held by:
-
Boost & Tune
-
An Australian distributor
-
The manufacturer
-
An overseas supplier
Where a product is held by a third-party supplier, additional handling and transport time may apply before it reaches us or is dispatched directly to you.
Stock levels can change quickly. An automated order confirmation does not guarantee that supplier stock has been allocated to your order.
3. Special-Order, Imported and Made-to-Order Products
Many products sold by M Lab by Boost & Tune are:
-
Specially ordered for the customer
-
Imported from overseas
-
Manufactured to order
-
Produced in a selected colour, finish or configuration
-
Built for a particular vehicle
-
Subject to supplier production schedules
-
Subject to international freight and customs processing
Any lead time shown on a product page is an estimate only unless we expressly confirm a guaranteed delivery date in writing.
Estimated lead times generally begin after:
-
Payment or the required deposit has cleared
-
Vehicle compatibility has been confirmed
-
The customer has approved the final product configuration
-
The supplier has accepted the order
Some products may have lead times of several weeks or months. Where a product is advertised with an estimated lead time, the customer should not book installation, dyno tuning, track events or other dependent work until the product has physically arrived and been inspected.
4. Supplier and Manufacturing Delays
We rely on Australian and international manufacturers, distributors and freight providers.
Delays may occur because of:
-
Supplier stock shortages
-
Manufacturing backlogs
-
Raw-material shortages
-
Product revisions
-
Quality-control delays
-
Public holidays or supplier shutdowns
-
Industrial action
-
Severe weather
-
Freight congestion
-
Port or airport delays
-
Customs inspections
-
Border restrictions
-
Carrier network disruptions
-
Events outside our reasonable control
We will communicate material delays once we become aware of them and provide updated information where reasonably available.
Under Australian Consumer Law, businesses should provide clear and accurate information about known stock availability and likely delivery timing. Where a paid product cannot be supplied on time or within a reasonable time, an appropriate solution may be required depending on the circumstances. (ACCC)
5. Delivery Estimates
Delivery estimates shown at checkout, on product pages or in order communications are estimates only.
An estimated delivery period consists of two separate stages:
-
Product lead time: the time required to manufacture, source, import or prepare the product.
-
Carrier transit time: the time required for the freight provider to deliver the dispatched order.
A carrier’s estimated transit time begins only after the carrier has collected or accepted the shipment. It does not include supplier lead time, production time, customs clearance or order processing.
We are not able to guarantee delivery for a particular workshop booking, event, race meeting, holiday or other deadline unless we have expressly agreed to that deadline in writing.
6. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges may be calculated based on:
-
Delivery location
-
Product dimensions
-
Product weight
-
Number of packages
-
Freight service
-
Dangerous-goods requirements
-
Insurance requirements
-
Residential or commercial delivery
-
Tailgate or forklift requirements
-
Remote-area surcharges
Some bulky, fragile or high-value products may display a preliminary freight charge or require a separate freight quotation.
Where the checkout freight amount is materially incorrect because of inaccurate product data, a remote destination or specialised freight requirements, we will contact you before dispatch. We will not charge an additional amount without your agreement.
7. Bulky and Specialised Freight
Products such as engines, transmissions, turbocharger systems, exhaust systems, brake kits, body panels and large fuel-system components may require specialised freight.
The customer may need to provide:
-
A commercial delivery address
-
Forklift access
-
A suitable unloading area
-
A person authorised to receive and inspect the shipment
-
A phone number for the freight carrier
Tailgate delivery, depot collection, redelivery or residential delivery charges may apply.
The customer must not attempt to unload a heavy shipment without suitable equipment and assistance.
8. Tracking Information
Where tracking is available, tracking details will usually be provided after dispatch.
Tracking may take time to activate after a label is created or a carrier collects the parcel.
Some specialised freight services provide limited online tracking. We may need to contact the freight provider directly for updates.
A tracking status that has not changed for a short period does not necessarily mean the shipment is lost.
9. Split Shipments
Orders containing multiple products may be dispatched separately where:
-
Products are supplied from different warehouses
-
Some products are ready before others
-
Separate packaging is required
-
A supplier dispatches directly to the customer
-
Different freight services are required
You may receive multiple tracking numbers.
We may hold an order for consolidated dispatch where that is more practical or economical. Contact us before ordering where you require available products to be sent separately.
10. Direct Supplier Shipping
Some products may be dispatched directly from a manufacturer or distributor.
Direct-shipped products may:
-
Arrive separately from other items
-
Use supplier-branded packaging
-
Have tracking issued by the supplier
-
Be subject to the supplier’s dispatch schedule
-
Require additional international or domestic transit time
Boost & Tune remains your point of contact for products purchased from our store.
11. Delivery Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Before completing checkout, check:
-
Street number and name
-
Unit or factory number
-
Suburb
-
State
-
Postcode
-
Business name
-
Recipient name
-
Email address
-
Telephone number
Contact us immediately where an address needs to be changed.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched or transferred to a supplier.
Reasonable redirection, return-to-sender, storage or redelivery charges caused by incorrect customer-supplied details may be payable by the customer.
12. Authority to Leave and Unattended Deliveries
Where a customer selects or requests authority to leave, the carrier may leave the shipment without obtaining a signature.
Customers should only authorise unattended delivery at a secure location.
Where authority to leave has been provided, carrier compensation may be limited if the parcel is correctly delivered and subsequently lost, stolen or damaged.
High-value, oversized or restricted products may still require a signature regardless of the customer’s request.
13. Missed Deliveries and Uncollected Freight
Where nobody is available to accept delivery, the carrier may:
-
Leave a collection card
-
Take the parcel to a collection point
-
Return the parcel to a depot
-
Attempt redelivery
-
Return the shipment to us or the supplier
The customer is responsible for following carrier instructions and collecting the shipment within the carrier’s stated period.
Reasonable storage, redelivery or return-to-sender costs may apply where a delivery is missed or remains uncollected.
14. Delivery Inspection
Inspect every delivery as soon as reasonably possible.
Before signing for bulky or high-value freight, check the outer packaging for:
-
Tears
-
Crushing
-
Punctures
-
Water exposure
-
Broken wrapping
-
Missing cartons
-
Damaged pallets
-
Signs that the shipment has been dropped or mishandled
Where damage is visible, ask the driver to record the damage on the delivery receipt before accepting the shipment.
Do not install, modify or discard the packaging of a product that appears damaged, incomplete or incorrect.
15. Products Damaged in Transit
We package and arrange products with reasonable care, but freight is handled by independent carriers after dispatch.
Where an item arrives damaged:
-
Stop unpacking once the damage is identified, unless further unpacking is necessary to document it safely.
-
Photograph the unopened package and shipping label.
-
Photograph all sides of the packaging.
-
Photograph the internal packaging and damaged product.
-
Retain the product, carton, pallet and all packaging.
-
Contact us promptly with your order number and evidence.
Please report obvious freight damage as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, because carriers may impose short evidence and claim-notification periods. This requested timeframe assists us with the carrier claim but does not remove any rights that apply under Australian Consumer Law.
We may arrange inspection, replacement parts, repair, collection, replacement or another appropriate solution depending on the damage and applicable consumer rights.
16. Lost or Missing Shipments
Contact us where:
-
Tracking shows delivery but the shipment cannot be located
-
Tracking has not updated for an unreasonable period
-
Only part of the order arrived
-
A carton or component is missing
-
The carrier confirms that the shipment is lost
We may ask you to:
-
Check the delivery location
-
Check with household members, staff or neighbouring businesses
-
Check for a carrier collection notice
-
Confirm the delivery address
-
Complete a declaration required by the carrier
We will lodge an enquiry with the relevant carrier or supplier where appropriate.
Carrier investigations can take time. We will keep you informed of material updates and provide an appropriate solution where required under Australian Consumer Law.
17. Customs and Import Delays
Imported products may be held for:
-
Customs assessment
-
Biosecurity inspection
-
Documentation review
-
Duty or tax processing
-
Security screening
-
Random inspection
-
Port or airport congestion
Customs clearance times are outside our direct control.
We will endeavour to provide documents or information reasonably requested by customs authorities, freight providers or suppliers. However, we cannot guarantee how quickly an authority will inspect or release a shipment.
Where we become aware of a customs delay, we will provide available information to the customer.
18. International Customer Deliveries
International delivery may be available for selected products and destinations.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, international customers may be responsible for:
-
Import duties
-
Local taxes
-
Customs charges
-
Brokerage fees
-
Government processing charges
-
Destination-country compliance
-
Return freight arising from import refusal
International customers should investigate local import, vehicle, emissions and product-compliance requirements before ordering.
We cannot guarantee that a destination authority will approve the importation or use of a particular automotive product.
19. Delivery Refusal
Do not refuse a shipment solely because you have changed your mind or no longer require the product.
A refused delivery may be returned to us or the supplier, resulting in:
-
Return freight
-
Storage charges
-
Customs costs
-
Supplier restocking charges
-
Redelivery costs
These reasonable, non-recoverable costs may be deducted from any discretionary refund where permitted by law.
Where the shipment is visibly damaged or materially incorrect, contact us promptly for instructions before refusing delivery where practicable.
20. Installation and Appointment Scheduling
Do not schedule installation, tuning, fabrication, track use or other dependent work until:
-
The complete order has arrived
-
The packaging has been opened
-
Every component has been checked
-
The product has been confirmed as correct and undamaged
Boost & Tune is not responsible for third-party appointment charges or vehicle downtime caused by an estimated delivery date being treated as guaranteed, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
21. Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available for selected orders where shown at checkout or agreed with us.
Wait until you receive confirmation that your order is ready before attending.
Photo identification, an order confirmation or payment verification may be required at collection.
Special-order or supplier-held products are not available for immediate pickup merely because local pickup was selected at checkout.
22. Consumer Guarantees
Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this policy removes your rights where goods:
-
Do not arrive within an agreed or reasonable period
-
Are damaged
-
Are faulty
-
Are unsafe
-
Are materially different from their description
-
Do not meet another applicable consumer guarantee
The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances and whether the failure is major or minor. Remedies may include a repair, replacement, refund or other solution required by law.
